The Community Arts Program

The Community Arts program is an art mentoring program for youth from 8-18 years of age. In our program students work with a professional artist and learn about the visual arts, fiber arts and various crafts. We offer classes in drawing, digital art, crochet, knitting, embroidery, sewing, jewelry-making, and weaving. Our goal is to build self-esteem, pride and confidence in youth by teaching them a practical skill they can enjoy and use throughout their lives. As students advance in their skill and ability they can become mentors and share what they’ve learned with others like themselves. Participating in the CA program is an exciting opportunity to learn a skill that can grow into a viable practice, career, even a business.
